ATHLETE STORIES

Two things I learned while training with Coach Cory for over 8 years that helped me with school, sports, and life are discipline and consistency. I learned the importance of staying committed even when things get hard, and how daily habits and effort separate good athletes from great ones. Those lessons have helped me stay focused both on and off the field. I'm currently playing Division I club rugby in New Zealand while also a member of the Crusaders International Academy

Coach Cory helped me learn that there was never an easy way out of becoming successful. If you want to see the results that you desire, you must be willing to do whatever it takes to work for that. Coach Cory taught me that I am my biggest supporter and you have to be your own motivator to become the best version of yourself. This mindset pushed me to take ownership of my development in lacrosse, showing me every film session, every rep in the gym, and every moment of effort starts with the belief I build within myself.

Working with Coach Cory taught me about strength and endurance. He challenged me everyday to work through fatigue. This has helped me in college especially during our superset workouts. He also opened every workout by discussing the mindset needed to be successful. The way he framed things and how he reminded us of them throughout the works stays with me as I continually work to be vocally positive with myself and with others. His training has not only helped me perform my best, it has helped me be a better teammate and leader

There are two things I learned from Coach Cory. The first is to keep working even when you feel like you've reach your limit, because pushing past that point is what makes you stronger and help you grow. The second is understanding that nothing moves forward unless the work gets done. No matter how hard it ism staying consistent and putting in the effort is the only way to keep progressing and becoming better.

Working out with Coach Cory there are two things that he taught me that continue to help me now. The physical parts of training are only a small part of the battle. The mental aspects are what need to be continually sharpened. The other thing I learned is that it doesn't matter how big you are as long as you want it more you'll win

While training with Coach Cory over the course of 9 years, I have learned to adapt a good work ethic and drive give the environment Coach Cory provided. I also became educated on how to have a balanced and healthy nutrition plan because it is a bit part of what improved my athletic ability.

One thing I learned while training with Coach Cory was how to properly fuel my body. There was I time where I felt like I was over training and my body was shutting down and then Coach Cory educated me on the proper foods I should be consuming and I was able to push even harder. The second thing I learned is never skip out on an opportunity to get better. This has allowed me to make positive decisions when an opportunity arises.

Two things I've learned over the 7 years training with Coach Cory are the value of a hardworking mindset and building habits that will keep me professional. With Coach Cory I was focused on working harder and competing with others who have the same goals that I do, and had the mindset to push myself harder to overcome obstacles. I was put in a very professional environment where I got to journal daily, create numerous visions boards to help keep me on track towards my goals. To this day I still carry the mindset that was built with Coach Cory and continue to update my vision board on my phone as I get better each day.

During my time training with Coach Cory there are two things that stood out. I learned how to encourage the person next to you so they can get better. The second is how to be a leader on and off the field.

One thing Coach Cory taught me while training with him over the course of 6 years was to never doubt my own potential by comparing myself to others. The work you put un will pay off. The second thing is that the physical side does not influence what you can do, most of the time when you're struggling it's a mental thing that can be solved if you changed your attitude about it.

Coach Cory showed me a new perspective on life by having me look at every opportunity as a blessing. Whether it was doing my homework or having a hard workout, I learned to be grateful for having the opportunity to do these things. I also learned to push myself mentally and physically so that I can be the best version of myself. He always praised that consistency is 1% better every day.

What I learned training with Coach cory over the last 6 years is that I have to be okay with being uncomfortable. By being able to break boundaries helps me grow both as an athlete as as a person.
